Laminate has a printed, sealed wear layer rather than a raw timber surface, so it is cleaned like a hard surface, not like an oiled or lacquered wood floor. Reach for a hard-surface floor cleaner and a well-wrung or barely-damp mop, and keep standing water off the seams. Steam mops and wax or polish products are not suited to laminate.
